Kathryn Wilson – Owner and President
A native of Oklahoma City, Kathryn Wilson graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University and has spent almost 20 years in marketing and communications. After a stint as the Public Relations Coordinator for a local hospital, Mrs. Wilson spent several years in Texas working for the Free Market Foundation, a non-profit public policy organization. In Washington, DC, she worked for Elizabeth Dole on the 1996 Dole for President Campaign, at the American Red Cross National Headquarters, for Sen. Dole’s historic bid for U.S. President in 2000 and in her private office following that campaign. Mrs. Wilson also served as Vice President of Capitol Resources and Looking Glass Productions in Washington, DC, a public relations and special events firm.
Mrs. Wilson is a member of the Marketing Research Association and a certified parliamentarian.
Active in philanthropic and volunteer work, Kathryn serves on the Board of the Oklahoma Children’s Theatre and has held a variety of leadership positions in the Junior League of Oklahoma City. With her husband, Chris, and two sons, Denver and Carson, Mrs. Wilson makes her home in Oklahoma City.
Dean Howard – Focus Group Facility Project Director
Dean Howard has successively managed multiple projects for clients such as Kraft, Pepsi, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Crest, and General Mills. Mr. Howard has over 20 years of qualitative market research experience and brings client service expertise as focus group facility project director. His expert cross training in various aspects of market research such as product placements, mall intercepts, mystery shopping, taste tests helps ensure valuable insights into consumer opinions to inspire and propel brands and ideas.
Mr. Howard began his career as a mall intercept recruiter/interviewer and soon climbed the ladder to management. His excellent leadership skills and knowledge in consumer and business to business research makes him an important asset to the success of each project.
He and his wife Amanda, and their dog Domino, live in Oklahoma City.
Chris is widely recognized as one of the world's leading and most credible public opinion research and research-based strategic consultants. He has conducted thousands of public opinion surveys for hundreds of candidates, companies and political organizations.
Chris specializes in opinion research geared toward winning campaigns, be they political or corporate, product challenges, public issue contests or legislative battles. He understands that to win, messages and issues must burn through the clutter and reach their target audience. Chris is able to identify and overcome obstacles through targeted communication based on strategically researched solutions. Furthermore, he understands that research is an evolving science and he utilizes cutting edge techniques in order to stay well ahead of his competitors.
Chris now lives in Oklahoma City, commuting to Washington most weeks, with his wife Kathryn and their two sons, Denver (6) and Carson (4).
Bryon is an expert in a variety of modes of applied behavioral research. With formal training in microeconomics and applied econometrics and extensive experience in polling and marketing research, Bryon brings a unique blend of methodological sophistication and practical experience to WRS's research.
Bryon has conducted hundreds of polls on topics including pricing and demand analysis, mergers and acquisitions, health care, life insurance, annuities, jury selection, energy development, and renewable and alternative energy as well as polls for campaigns ranging from city council races to Presidential campaigns. Bryon also leads WRS's higher education team and specializes in helping colleges and universities improve their alumni relations and development practices.
